The Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Master Plan
Throughout Martin County, residents are cycling and walking for pleasure and for transportation. To increase safety for pedestrians and bikers, to make these activities more accessible to the public, and to enhance the connectivity of roads, paths and trails, the Martin Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) established the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The MPO staff and the Advisory Committee are in the process of developing the Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails (BP&T) Master Plan.
A public workshop to receive comments and suggestions was held on March 22. Another workshop is scheduled in September to present a draft recommendation before the BP&T plan is finalized.
